Make time for art! That is often hard to do. Today I had to squeeze that time out of a full schedule. Oxford Impressions just released a new collage sheet, Halloween inchie circles , so I made some fun bottle cap samples to show how they can be used. The collage sheet has primarily cutesy vintage images, but look closely and you'll see I squeezed in a small selection of dark elements. Edgar Allan Poe and Vlad the Impaler (the original Dracula) share space with a raven, a skull and a creepy spider. Poe seems to go well with my recent interest in steampunk, and I created this necklace for the Halloween season. I really like the way it turned out! I have been experimenting with the glue/paper/glass equation and I'm still not sure about what type of glue works best with paper and glass. I'd love to hear any recommendations, so post a comment and let me know what you think.
Oooh...that is so cool! I love the bottlecap kits too.
