New Stamps - French Script

I am proud of my new collection of rubber stamps, French Script.  I have intended to make a French text plate for years since I have such an affinity for French imagery.  My first stamp collection was called "Paris Poste", after all!  With the release of my Marie Antoinette themed stamps, the timing seemed perfect.  I like to make collections that work well with each other and build on existing themes.  It gives the artist a greater versatility to use the collections in which they have already invested.

Stampbord Guest Artist - Me!

Easter Pot

What is more fun making art?  Making art with friends!  I have a wonderful group of creative friends who get together once a month to make art, visit, trade ideas, and share a meal.  I feel so blessed to be a part of this group!  This weekend, we made little Easter Pots and Fairy Tarts. I used my favorite little boy rubber stamp from the Oxford Impressions School Days collection.  I cut a flower basket and bunny ears out of paper and the easter eggs were formed with air dry clay.

This past Tuesday was my birthday! Yay! I'm still young enough to be happy about it, but old enough that it isn't such a big deal. (Early 40's.) Wendy Robinson sent me the adorable ATC above with a Marie Antoinette birthday card.  I am seriously impressed with Wendy's ability to create such tiny, perfectly detailed, little works of art.  I LOVE this sweet style so much!  I also got lovely cards from Nancy Walker, Steph Schirmer and Silver Coles. Thank you so much for remembering my special day.

I've been getting some wonderful Marie Antoinette inspired art, so I've set up a "Marie" photo album on the blog to share it with you.  Send me scans!  I love seeing what you create with my stamps.  One time a friend of mine who owns many of my collections said, "I didn't use your stamps when making your birthday card.  I know you must get bored seeing your own stuff."  Well, let me set that record straight. I NEVER get tired of seeing what people can do with my stamps.  It is such an honor to receive a card created with stamps I designed! Truly, I can think of nothing I enjoy more!

Heart of Dixie
