Sometimes one neglects one's blog because one is too busy living life to report on it. Guilty! I tend to be an obsessive worker. The past few weeks I've been busy manufacturing Alice. My play time has been taken up with jewelry exploration. I took a stone wrapping class and I'm working on a hammered links necklace. I do enjoy jewelry making, even though, or perhaps because, it is a challenge for me. It is not an area in which I have much experience and everything about it is new. There are new skills to learn, new websites to visit, new books to peruse... new tools to acquire!
Jewelry making gives me more of a separation of "work" and "play". That line is often blurred by my stamping. It is hard to just give in and relax with stamp play knowing that anything I decide to show off will be representative of my business. Isn't that work?! The last thing I stamped was some ATC's for a Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group. I love the way they turned out! (One is above, one below) Today, I have some free time. It is Sunday and I have no commitments. I think I'll pull out some rubber and get to work... or is it play?!
